How is this wrong? People do it all the time with over the counter medicines... We have the right to put into, alter, and change our bodies as we see fit. If you have the right to drink booze I have the right to take Hormones.

Taking gender-affirming HRT will almost always cause dysphoria if you're wrong well before any "irreversible changes" happen. Anyone who wants to fuck with HRT should be able to (possibly with an endocrinologists oversight), and it'd probably be better for everyone if they COULD.

There is absolutely no evidence that blocking puberty is reversible. None. At least 70% of gender dysphoria remits on its own after puberty but 100% of kids who start PBs go on to cross-sex hormones, which does mean infertility.

So your primary concern is less their wellbeing as a person and more that they might lose fertility.

Why would I care if they had the option to procreate in the absence of concern for their wellbeing as a person? My concern is their ability to make their own choices as adults from among the full range of options, including gender medicine. Are you making a case against that?

If you'd talked to many people who transitioned as adults you'd be aware that most of them would have preferred to have gone on puberty blockers as a kid had they known it was an option and had it been socially acceptable.

Your insistence that they not make a choice now so that they can make a choice later closes the door on the choice many trans adults wish they could have made.

... jesus fucking christ everything you said was disgusting. For fuck's sake, the point of blockers isn't to "look more childlike", it's to avoid the dysphoria and emotional trauma of being forced through the wrong puberty. That's an incredibly harmful allegation you're making

The ideas she's saying here - treating adult trans people's "puberty regret" as a fetishization of certain bodies rather than as the result of actual memories of trauma of the process of undergoing wrong puberty - says it all

She is absolutely taking TERF narratives as gospel and dismissing trans people's actual lived experience out of hand Which we already knew from her treating r/detrans as an authoritative source
