It's really bizarre to be seeing "radical feminists" caping for the white coats this hard Seriously and unironically, I'm so old I remember when male ob/gyns being stingy with the epidurals during childbirth was cited as an obvious example of patriarchy at work

As were the endless checklists you had to go through to get a tubal ligation, or a hysterectomy as treatment for endometriosis ("Are you SURE you're done having kids? What does your husband say about it?") But I guess now it's evil to question doctors' motives and competence

Based on my experience, a conscientious doctor orders labs and writes prescriptions without being controlling. A good doctor provides on-point advice/warnings and doesn't make insane requests like "Come see me in person during a centennial pandemic," to flex. Doctors flex btw.
