This may be a little complicated, but try and follow along. Children under ten years of age quite commonly make errors in judgment. Puberty blockers are not even approved by the FDA for use in gender medicine. Or, is that "unrelated?"

The High Court in England took a hard look at available evidence and decided that kids less than 16 can not provide truly informed consent for the myriad effects of puberty blockers. I didn't say they were recreational, but they're not "safe and fully reversible."

Testosterone has some euphoric effects, especially when given in high doses. (It doesn't last, but this is widely reported.) And yet, we've got therapists telling unsure young women they should give T a try, and see how they feel on it. A whole lot of shoddy care out there.
