THEY looked into it OF THEIR OWN VOLITION and said "These books are racist and harmful to our brand, and they're also low sellers anyway, and hey taking them down can only bring us positive PR" All of which was, of course, obviously true

This ridiculous delusion Freddie et al have of constant persecution from the censorious SJW scolds means they can't imagine this ever being a eslf-directed, rational decision It has to be something forced on them by the evil Illuminati running the Twitter Mobs

Even though, as one of the supposed obsessive SJW cancelers, I can't remember anyone even mentioning the Mulberry Street book in fucking years before the news broke that they were taking it out of print

One thing I find kinda funny here is that I can't even really find what was up with four of these books. I probably could with effort, but no one anywhere is talking about them. Cause no one gives a crap.
-
Which, notably, makes it basically impossible that the removal of those books was down to a pressure campaign of some kind. No one even knows what's in them, and they definitely weren't showing them images around.

He did this last week Re: the utterly nonexistent SJW campaign to criminalize hate speech and symbols. Like, no one’s even *proposing* jail for slurs.
-
I mean I definitely would like to imprison the guy who threw change at my face and told me "pick it up!" because I'm Jewish, geddit; but I recognize that I *shouldn't*

Also telling that the ones the Rs keep "protest reading" are...not the ones being pulled from print. Almost as if the estate might have had a point.
