For those reading this tweet - this dude is a sexologist with an H-Index of 68. Its likely that some of your ideas about sex originated in his work. Not saying he is right, or that his high H-Index is an argument, but he isn't a rando or a heckler from the cheap seats.

Academic sexology is a cesspool and Blanchard isn't even the most egregious example (that would be John Money) I deeply resent the constant accusations from TERFs that because I support trans people it must mean I support this clique of creepy chucklefucks

Trans people, like many other marginalized groups, found themselves historically in the position of being fundamentally disempowered by being a member of their group and having to find people outside the group who took an interest in them to advocate on their behalf

And a lot of those cis people who took an interest were huge arrogant creeps That's what Singal is defending - he got into this debate defending huge arrogant creep Ken Zucker because he himself aspires to a long career of being a huge arrogant creep

It didn't even have to be trans people, although once it became trans people his creepy shitty territorialism got turbocharged the way it always does with cis people trying to be the "trans whisperer" He's tried to set up shop mansplaining all kinds of groups to the masses
