Really Uncharted 4 is the big awkward one. 1 is a first-timer affair, 2 and 3 he's legitimately sort of saving the world from evil forces. 4, though, the enemy hires a mercenary army for effectively no reason other than "he's going up against Nathan Drake."

Indians Jones is also portrayed as a bit more of an anti-hero. yes, he is “the good guy” but he’s not a 100% “good” guy (think of his relationship with Marion). Drake, meanwhile, is supposed to be our completely white hat hero, which feels incongruous with his body count.
