Yup. There are four things which can under some circumstances constitute "per se defamation", and those are accusing someone of: 1. having committed a crime 2. having a "loathsome disease" 3. malfeasance wrt their trade or profession 4. having committed serious sexual misconduct

And note, saying that someone is a stalker is not, contrary to Jesse's claims, accusing him of the specific criminal offense -- colloquial language still exists. Dude is creepy and follows trans women around the internet, keeping an enemies list & complaining to their employers.

Burns' employer was not "letting" Burns do anything. She talked about Jesse on her personal twitter account. Her employer was not publishing her opinions about Jesse. And again, Doyle's pronouns are they/he.

This guy has been repeatedly and persistently misgendering Jude and it's really telling. He'll stop for about two tweets when he's called on it directly, and then go right back to it.

The classic "I don't think singal is hostile towards trans people, incidentally, I am going to be repeatedly, casually hostile towards trans people to show I'm a good arbiter of this"

I think one thing neither Jesse nor his brigade accepts is this idea that treating people as the wrong gender is a fundamental personal attack Even though he'd obviously understand if it were a cis person, if someone kept calling him "she/her" and "Jessica" or something

Jesse Singal is absolutely obsessed with gender identity -- far more than any trans person I've encountered.

The simple act of *respecting* trans identities is being "obsessed with identity" whereas fighting a multi-year war against respecting trans identities isn't "obsessive" at all but just a normal reasonable response to tyranny
