Okay so HERE's my gonzo comics continuity nod I want from the MCU I want White Vision to NOT succeed in just "fixing" himself and becoming OG Vision (which, as many complain, cheapens Vision's death) I want him to keep struggling with his Ship-of-Theseus internal contradictions

The problem there is that Vision was pretty poorly defined to begin with. He never had much personality, and even in W/V, it's mostly Bettany's performance doing the work. So how would you tell the difference between OG Vision and WV?

Well, MCU Vision has always been this unnaturally nice, perfect guy and it'd be interesting to see Paul Bettany play someone more conflicted and more of a jerk

This is essentially doing the Vision's comics origin story in reverse, where the original big reveal was that the Vision was made by Ultron from the body of the inert Human Torch, the original Marvel superhero

And the OG Human Torch, in a very on-the-nose characterization based on what his powers were, was a very unstable, violent antihero with the Vision being an "improvement" on his original personality
