*I* was excited by Evan Peters Quicksilver, like I still think in hindsight he was one of the biggest highlights of the show It's just very hard to see how you move forward with this character post-Hex (and "he literally is from another universe" was the most problematic idea)

Like I mean it just makes me wish WandaVision was a longer show, like the general idea of "This guy is kiiinda her brother but also clearly not, and he really gets on Vision's nerves" is just gold to me

I am in fact still thinking about goofy sitcom plots you could do with this character that obliquely reference the comics Like how in this universe the reason everyone thought he was dead and he missed Wanda and Vision's wedding is his bandmates stranded him in Australia

An MCU sitcom could be fun. I was thinking of a Hannah Montana style sitcom based off Patsy Walker, but Jessica Jones already made her story dark.

I mean yeah part of the spitballing here is because Evan Peters Pietro is a reminder that the actual, original comics Pietro is this enormous piece of shit that the writers have enjoyed really putting through cartoonish levels of suffering and humiliation

Pietro in Age of Ultron was an attempt to just take the most positive possible view of Quicksilver from the comics (which is unfortunately also the most incesty) and then freeze it in place by having him killed in a heroic sacrifice

So the idea of, comics-style, undoing this so we can have him back as a lovable giant prick is fun

I was saying that the one ironic thing is that Evan Peters Pietro *removes* the weird incest subtext with ATJ and Elizabeth Olsen from Age of Ultron (which came out immediately after they'd played a married couple in Godzilla)

He has an extremely non-romantic asshole big brother energy You just know that in this version of the sibling relationship, yes, Wanda saw him naked a lot growing up, and no, the context was never particularly erotic
