Seriously do people really want to bring all that stuff back? Yes it would be the coolest most ambitious crossover event in history etc but those movies weren't... good

Would seem kinda weird that in the middle of a show that's all about dealing with losing people to get "and hey here's someone who's not quite your brother back but in some very real way is." The Vision thing at the end may be a bit of that, but she doesn't know that anyways.
-
The thing about it is that the meta stuff fits in the context of a very meta show but rolling with it for a bunch of future movies and shit would be really weird Peter Maximoff and Pietro Maximoff aren't really similar characters at all except for their name and their powers

I think people were more excited about Evan Peters being quicksilver than the X-Men movies being mcu canon. Like, i think it's possible to just grab some of the stuff people like instead of grabbing everything.
-
*I* was excited by Evan Peters Quicksilver, like I still think in hindsight he was one of the biggest highlights of the show It's just very hard to see how you move forward with this character post-Hex (and "he literally is from another universe" was the most problematic idea)

Feige is so possessive of the MCU to the extent that he's completely ignoring a decade of Perlmutter/Loeb Marvel TV. There's no way he would ever bring in the content from a totally different studio.
-
(To be clear, I agree with Feige, because there are 3 good X-Men movies, everything else was awful, and we should not be stuck with even a remnant of those films in the MCU.)

This! He wants us to hold out for the tiny breadcrumbs of a multiverse

I figured it wasn’t gonna be “they’re all canon” or anything — just that she ripped him out of their universe and he lives here, now. Like Penny from The Magicians, I guess.

that's fine, but they *shouldn't have used Evan Peters* for the role then. Literally any other actor not currently under contract with them could've played that part and it'd have been exactly the same except it wouldn't have come off as a fuck you to people.
