A figurehead head of state isn't something I have an issue with, it's the whole rest of the aristocracy that's the problem. Especially if the figurehead lives in places that would be maintained historical sites anyway.

Plus like te emperor of Japan is explicitly *just* a figure head under the post-war constitution. The queen of England is still nominally the chief executive who conventionally yields power to the prime minister but could in theory still choose to act as the executive
