He gets arrested for being the bad guy. Even though his actions don’t really even seem particularly extreme for a top secret military dude.

Sure although Billy and Tommy aren’t real kids. They’re weird projections Wanda made a few days ago.

Wanda cares about protecting children, that's why we had the paradox of Westview being a family-oriented bedroom community with no actual children in the first place (they're usually kept in suspended animation to avoid traumatizing them)

It's a sly nod to how expensive child actors are to have on TV sets and how people fiercely debate if it's an ethical practice to do at all so in most lower-budget shows they try to keep the kids offscreen

Just like Tommy and Billy's aging thing is a reference to SORAS (Soap Opera Rapid Aging Syndrome) You only have babies for like one episode after the big childbirth event Then you hurry as fast as you can to get them to an age where their actors can actually act

And then if possible hurry past the cute kid stage to make them teenagers who can be played by adults in their 20s

Ironically one of the shows to avert this was Full House, where Michelle aged in real time along with the Olsen Twins because audiences "fell in love" with them
