The last line is him talking to the other two employee dudes and going "Guys, things have gotta change" Going back is a *sacrifice* that he chooses to make because it's the only way he can try to keep everything that just happened from happening again

And I mean it's not even that Ferngully is that good a movie This isn't that deep or courageous an ending This is the ending you have to give this movie so it comes off as an actually edifying lesson for the kids The movie of Avatar is hilariously vapid self-absorbed wank
