But that doesn't have anything to do with WHETHER IT'S TRUE Whether there ACTUALLY IS a positive RoI to "going out there" is a FACTUAL matter, something that can be evaluated by looking at what actually is out there

The solar system might well be bursting with resources, that doesn't change the fact it is vastly easier to fix this habitat than create a new one from scratch

The only reason the Romans didn't invade further North ( into what we now call Scotland ) was there were no resources they thought worth the trouble. That changed history - but the colonial thinking persists.
