It feels way too late for that reveal, they didn't foreshadow it at all

They *vaguely* hinted at stuff with Agnes' jokes about being married to the Devil but I don't think she actually meant that literally, she's an independent woman

We all know what villain is really going to make their debut: Snowflamepic.twitter.com/FHVIZpgxe2

I hope that’s true now. Please, I’m here for it. Give me the most bizarre villains in the Marvel Universe!

And last week was the episode for reveals. This week is for finishing the story. Adding a new big boss at this stage would be awful

I don’t think it helps that Olsen and Bettany gave those comments about a reveal on the same level as Luke Skywalker.

You can reveal that Agnes and SWORD director, characters who were in the show all along, are the final villains - great way for the plot to develop. Introducing a new character in the last episode, just to give some of the audience the joy of recognition?
-
You could just as well introduce any character: Agnes was being mind controlled by Bugs Bunny, and they need Captain Planet to break the spell. Good thing Sherlock Holmes is here!
