I see your point but I don't agree. We live in era when people get very defensive when their tastes are portrayed in a negative light. My view is that people should seek out more challenging and complex cultural products and not mistake something basic for something complex.

Wandavision is a great show but it's also not Minari or Nomadland, much less the French New Wave. People shouldn't think that by watching Wandavision, they're watching something equivalent and therefore shouldn't seek out the more challenging stuff.
