And what's up with Fake Pietro? I'mma be pissed if he wasn't pulled from a multiverse somehow. We know Agatha was puppeteering whatever/whoever he is though. But I want it to be the X-men crossover and I feel it's kinda a fuck you lol if it's not. :/

ADDITIONAL THOUGHTS. I want to hit on this and denial after Arthur brought it uphttps://twitter.com/MelanieMoore/status/1365915144102899712 …

Mistress Emma Evans @MelanieMooreShe's been told. She's been told again, and again and again. Vision told her. Monica has told her. AGATHA HAS FUCKING TOLD HER. Wanda...doesn't care. Notice that? Not a moment of shame, sadness, or feeling for them. Just her. Just her kids and her Vision.Show this thread1 reply 0 retweets 9 likesShow this thread -
Wanda's denial here isn't madness. That she didn't know she made Westview? That's a type of madness whether magical or not. And I don't want to use the term 'madness' other than Marvel is going to. /sigh But, it's what PTSD can do and she's had it and then some. Denial?

Her denial is, IMHO, akin to the denial of most people engage in when they activate that defense mechanism (and that's not conscious). She knows or fears the truth deep down, but doesn't want to give up what is at present so she'd rather not look at it.

It's not...no one is being cackling evil. (Not even Agatha IMHO tho hey I could be wrong). But her refuge in denial where it's causing others harm? She's accountable for that. Mitigated? Yes. But accountable. She was NOT accountable for MAKING Westview.

She didn't control that, her mind even blocked off her awareness of it. But she acknowledges aspects of it with her fake brother, in that she doesn't know how she's doing it all. But she also doesn't want to look closely at it because she wants...what she wants.

The thing is, like many abusers, her denial shuts off instantly when there's a direct threat to her She damn well looked like she knew what was going on when Hayward shot her with his drone and she put the sitcom on pause and flew right out there in full supervillain regalia

She certainly knew how the Hex worked well enough when she suddenly had to expand it to save Vision and neutralize SWORD But then she instantly snaps back to being the poor sad housewife

It's something people do in real life a lot and people call it "Jekyll and Hyde" and "split personality" but I mean it's not, not like they mean It's deliberate, strategic behavior It only seems like an actual split personality because they really commit to the act

But it is a deliberate act, even if they lie to themselves about it enough that they genuinely believe they don't experience it that way "There never was an Aaron," to quote Ed Norton
