Her acting in it is extremely good and explores these same themes of grief and loss in a realistic, contemporary setting Rose Tico is in it as her adopted sister and Alisa Jones plays her mom, if you need more nerd incentives to check it out

Interesting aside, Gary Oldman explicitly says this is his career plan. With what they pay him to play a cheesy over the top villain in a blockbuster (e.g. I first heard this after Air Force One), he then uses that to fully bankroll multiple indie projects he actually enjoys.
