WandaVision is such a weird vibe because it's like "the character who did nothing interesting and you didn't care about for like seven movies is now the best"

Well like I said, Elizabeth Olsen is an amazing actress who really loves the comics and has wanted to do Scarlet Witch's Shakespearean tragedy from Disassembled and House of M this whole time

And they just never had any time in the movies to squeeze her in They've been talking about what a stupid waste it's been to cast Elizabeth Olsen (and Paul Bettany) and just give them like two scenes in each movie

That's part of what I love about the show so much, even if I'm not 1000% about any given episode. It retroactively makes Wanda and Vision better characters! It takes the subtext tumblrites were writing fanfic about and makes it text.

I *have* been feeling this way about WandaVision—like it in some ways plays out exactly the way a competent fanfiction author would A) fully unpack the extent of Wanda's heretofore understated trauma gauntlet and B) reconcile the minimalist MCU iteration with her comic elements

The most recent episode "feels like fanfic" in the best possible way - these are all scenes that feel like the previous movie should've had and cut for lack of time

Actually letting us SEE the parents die and the whole thing with the unexploded shell rather than just giving it to us as a monologue
