This was literally my experience until I was 23 and finally convinced my doctor to give me a hysterectomy. She really only agreed because I'm in a longterm relationship with someone who can't get me pregnant and I'd told her for years that I didn't want biological kids.

If I had the choice to do that earlier... Or had the option to take something to stop my period back when it first started, my life would've been so different during that entire decade.
