I think most criticisms of the MCU are correct and valid, but the fact that "Agatha All Along" is already on everybody's lists of "Most Memorable Moments" is a pretty good sign that the MCU isn't just "filling the appetite for generic action-movie content anyone else could"

The people trying to make their own MCU and thought it was easy as "Repackage well-known brand names as slick badass action heroes" crashed and burned Like the DCEU was actually the *least* bad of those attempts (remember the "Dark Universe")

Iron Man 3 is bad? What the hell are you on? It's just VERY Shane Black-y.

It's all quickly forgotten, though. That's the idea. Every film is extremely important, essential. You have to see it or the next one won't make sense. Then it's immediately forgotten once the next one comes out.

Gotg 1 and 2, Thor 1, Winter soldier, civil war, these were all well reviewed and utterly forgotten in a year, because there were newer ones.
