There are people who will take this bait and go ahead and say we should bring back flogging as part of our penal system, and those people are turds whose general worldview can usually be dismissed

A lot of people who favor corporal punishment for kids also favor beating the shit of adult murderers and rapists. They'll also favor employing physical pain to punish minor misbehavior by adults from groups they see as subaltern, that's why they find excuses to police brutality.
