My air conditioning died last summer, in a townhouse designed to retain heat. I barely slept for three weeks before it could be replaced and there's a lot of people that the heat would have actually killed. Even the places that swing back and forth can't balance it right.

Yeah, central air is the closest thing we have to building for variable climates, and it depends on keeping it working and powered.
