How is a completely voluntary program to give drug addicts IUDs authoritarian or unethical? It's not even a eugenics program. It's meant to reduce the number of neglected children. It has nothing to do with genetics. Are you against abortion and birth-control?

The way adoption support payments is fundamentally perverse First you screen the adoptive parents to make sure they have adequate income and don't need the money Then you give them support payments anyway, to make extra sure the adoption goes through and is successful
-
In many, many cases you could prevent the problem from arising in the first place and greatly reduce the trauma and disruption to the kid's life by doing the exact opposite (finding any parent who DOES need money because they DON'T have adequate income and just giving it to them)

Because private infant adoption is so expensive and, frankly, unlikely now a lot of prospective adopters are going the foster-to-adopt route, usually hoping to get a baby or toddler, which is not what foster care is for but has become a new perverse incentive.

Foster-to-adopt is honestly so sketchy. They say, "We don't take kids away just because their parents are poor," But they absolutely will take kids away if the parents don't have what the kids need because they can't afford it due to being (drumroll) poor.
