I don't agree with escalating to actual cops with actual guns over something like this and view this as a consequence of this taking place in an airport post-9/11 and post-TSA

But yeah I'd be a lot more likely to just be freaked out in the wake of an interaction like this - "What the hell is this guy doing?" - and probably a more "normal" person would be more likely to dismiss it ("He probably just spaced out, whatever")

Tangent, but I relate to this. I caught a guy in the act of stealing my car once and made myself late to work driving him somewhere bc I was so anxious about the whole thing I couldn't react appropriately.

I used to let this guy into my room all the time to play my video games in college and one day my roommates confronted me like "Who is this guy?" and I was like "I dunno he just showed up one day"
