HS "friends" would jokingly call me "fat ass", "dumb ass", and the R-word. We'd also play "sack tap" in which we'd jokingly hit each other in the nuts, but I was disproportionately targeted. One time, someone even took a half full 7-Up bottle and swung it right between my legs.

I was trying to fit in, so I played along. Laughing at myself and using self deprecating humor as a coping mechanism. I wouldn't realize until I was in my early-mid 20s that this was not something a friend should do.
