Ep 1 tells us outright that Vision does not eat human food (and Ep 2 confirms that he CANNOT) All the meals Wanda makes are only for herself, which justifies why Vision is so helpless when she asks him to chip in

Well in that situation the dinner was to impress Vision's boss, so of course it was necessary for him to chip in, he just obviously knows very little about how food works based on zero experience eating it (hence not knowing how much force to my to tenderizing steak)

That said, of course, Vision's job is obviously fake, to the point of his work schedule suddenly changing whenever Wanda needs him out of the house, so
