When she was Snapped she was just cradling Vision's body in her arms and when she reappears it's like he's the one who just vanished into thin air (because in the intervening time the surviving Avengers put it into storage)

In either case, that's just a discussion of what happened with Steve going back in time to live out his life to old age The other time trips to retrieve the Stones are unambiguously explicitly stated in the movie to create alternate timelines It makes no sense at all otherwise

I've got to assume that the scene of Old Man Steve showing up was written and directed to create the emotional impression that he'd been there the whole time, in the moment that you see it. And IMO it's okay that that impression is different from the canon since it doesn't matter

If the writers are correct, then this scene literally happened, and that is unforgivable. The Director’s interpretation HAS to be cannon:https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=hBmj4rs1KrI …

I think the interpretation is better because then that also gets around the "Hey Steve, you know how you suddenly have a way of letting people know about horrible things (The Troubles, 9/11, many wars, etc) before they happen? You gonna do something about it, Steve? Are you?"
