The idea of someone being forced unwillingly into taking care of a kid and this transforming them into a fundamentally better person and the parent the child truly needs is everywhere It's an incredibly powerful trope because, well, it's fantasy

So, this is my big fear as a childfree person. Not in a “ew, you had kids so we can’t be friends anymore” way. More like I have a specific fear that I will become the guardian of my siblings’ children.
