You know what would actually be a labor thing for restaurants, would be instituting a curfew Making everything close at 9 pm to try to eliminate 3rd-shift workers in the service industry So poor people don't get pressured into working jobs that kill normal family life

This is actually a serious real thing that's been proposed and pushed forward in other countries, as an alliance of labor with social conservatives Jacobin's audience wouldn't support it in a million fucking years though so they don't even mention it
