The hair department really is the unsung MVP of this show And everyone's focusing on the women's hair but I seriously think the way Paul Bettany has perfect sitcom dad hair for each era is key to making me succumb and fall in love with this setting

He's SUCH A GOOD SITCOM DAD It's amazing how much more likable they've made Vision, a cipher of a character from the original movies, in just a few episodes The whole "straitlaced Vision accidentally gets drunk!" sequence was note-perfect

Bettany could've actually done this job had he been born in a different time and place Every single thing about it works, including and especially Vision's unexplained Britishness ("Just go ahead and use your real accent, whatever" is very true to old school sitcoms)

??? Vision has always had a British accent, because JARVIS had a British accent, because JARVIS was Tony Stark's tribute to the British character Edwin Jarvis. It's a Z-plot in the Marvel movies, but it's all there

Yes but nobody in the small town Middle American sitcom universe remarks on this fact, even with the jokes about Cold War xenophobia and Wanda's European origin

Oh I see what you mean. But the Cold War does explain the difference between being noticeably British and being noticeably Eastern European. Still you do have a point, I imagine a Brit would be asked "which part of the UK are you from" about 1000 times a day

Or, at least, "When did you move to the States exactly", which is exactly the kind of question whose asking we see leads to disaster in this world
