Ahaha the FBI developing this Byzantine protocol for liaising with time travelers from the future is pretty great

"The FBI is now a governing body over the Traveler program" yeah, of course, because those are the people I'd want with a stake in agents from an apocalyptic future bodyjacking people to prevent an extinction event

Jeff the Cop really just can't seem to lose at life even though the only reason he's not a murderer is because time travelers bailed him out of his worst transgression

Ahaha the Alex Jones dude doesn't even have a shred of empathy for the fact that he totally got a woman killed These writers knew the score, man

David the social worker struggling with inadequacy in his sensitive teddy bear persona after the kidnapping and trying to become a ripped tacticool badass like his girlfriend is kind of hilarious?

They realized a lot of things in their last season of this show, one of them being that David makes the whole show

It's kind of interesting because normally "schluppy quipping loser guy with badass girlfriend" as a trope is just obnoxious but David strikes the right balance by having empathy and emotional sensitivity you don't usually see as much? Like you can see why he's appealing

Yes, they actually made the Nice Guy a genuinely nice guy For once they followed through on the idea that "Hey he has no loyal skills but he's likable because he's honest, loyal and decent" -- by *actually making him* honest, loyal and decent (which is a genuinely high bar)

The thing where he piggybacks on Philip's lotto winnings and gets himself a $20k windfall and then ends up giving all of it away by the end of the day because he just can't justify keeping it and looking all the poorer people he knows in the eye
