Okay so the whole "children informing on parents" stuff has become a right-wing outrage meme, and I gotta say If you intend to call on bonds of loyalty and love to keep yourself out of trouble, you also need to not threaten lethal violence You don't get to use both approaches

Like, I think you *shouldn't* threaten to kill your kids in general, because that's, you know, bad karma But while some abusive dads may have completely normalized this kind of relationship with their kids, *springing* the death threats on them in a panic is just bad tactics

Like yeah if you threaten me with a gun because the FBI's after you I may have to turn you into the FBI *just for doing that* *As self-defense* Sheesh Use your head dude

I mean it wasn't even the kids who took the initiative on turning him in, it was the wife She gave him all these chances to try to back out of this confrontation toopic.twitter.com/S07ezOi0mu

I do wonder about the logic of having a family with four members, and all of the other three are not on board with your criminal activities, so you threaten to shoot all of them in order to "protect the family" Isn't that just protecting you

This is the whole thing about this shitty subculture "The family" really is just an extension of the dad, they exist to serve his interests If he gets rid of all of them and remarries it's still "his family", Ship-of-Theseus style He's the owner and they're the employees
