It sounds like a lot of these people have just given up on the idea of the pandemic ever ending and are moving ahead with their life plans regardless Which is a classic self fulfilling prophecy

Yeah the movie Room is kind of a sensationalized depiction but it's called "Room" because the kid uses proper nouns for everything in the room because in his mind they're the only example of it that exists "Hello Chair, hello Rug, hello Light"
