This is a case where I agree with both takes. Its important to understand why a bad thing happens or why people do bad things but also, I don’t want people feeling sorry for fascists.

Yes, this is where I'm at. Most MSM treats violent white supremacists as victims of external factors (economic anxiety/were bullied in school/didn't succeed with women/whatever) and does present their stories as justification for their actions and hatreds.
