The people going in on how everything is 1984 pounced on that lady who outed her mom as one of the insurrectionists, saying it's "ideology turning children against parents" They apparently skipped the part of the story where she'd been disowned for being gay and supporting BLM

I don't actually believe that you owe it to anyone to protect them no matter how bad the acts they commit are But *if you did* it would have to be a fucking two-way street What kind of asshole thinks they can expect loyalty from someone they kicked out of the house

It's not just a one-way idea, it's a bedrock. The entire ideology is centered on the concept that the next generation has a biological imperative to enact their parents' wishes. They have no mechanism to cope with an adult child gaining autonomy and saying "Fuck you."

And why they're cool with other forms of owning humans and ensuring they can do what you wish or die. Their idea of fair is them struggling under capitalism for their gods and then oppressing anyone downstream themselves. And they get nasty if anything might free any slave.

I've heard so many religions come out with the idea that the parent:child::god:human It's disturbing to say the least Also often extends to employer/employee, ofc. My boss got very upset at us when we explained to students that we didn't agree with the rules
