It's... really similar to the ending of The Good Place, which also worked very hard to pull off the tightrope walk of delivering this message gracefully without falling off into corniness

I'd even say it's an adult movie that kids might enjoy. A middle-aged guy with no kids and no significant other who likes jazz as a protagonist is a tough sell to kids.
