Austen was so subtle and so witty. There’s no comparison. I enjoyed the first HP book but there’s not the level of skill present in any of Austen’s books.

Hot Take: Adverbs do not make or break a book. Rowling's a decent prose stylist. It's the choices she makes in her story that make "Harry Potter" bad. Like, what makes adverbs so bad? Why not scrutinise things like run-on sentences or misused adjectives?
