Feels like Wonder Woman 1984 should have done more research on what existed during WWII. Why does this man not know about escalators or subways or fireworks. Is he a caveman

Weird. The New York subway and Macy's wooden escalator not only date back to 1904, but were famous for doing so. And this guy had been to London and Paris. And fireworks?

Truly! I HAVE HAD A RIDE ON THE MACYS WOODEN ESCALATOR. MORE THAN ONCE. I am sure many others could say the same. That was bullshit!

Also, even if he had never been on an escalator before (there are adults in the world today who have never done so), an athletic fighter pilot can't handle a moving staircase without tottering helplessly? What the hell is this?

My headcanon is this isn't really Steve Trevor's soul at all but just a construct made out of Diana's rose-tinted memories of Steve (since the message is supposed to be that the wishes are all frauds in the end) that hijacked a random guy's brain

So, like, to get meta with it a bit, Steve plays the helpless naif this time around because it's what Diana wants because in her mind it makes an endearing role reversal from the previous movie
