Kermit as Nick, Piggy as Jordan, The Great Gonzo as The Great Gatsby, I've literally been saying this for yearshttps://twitter.com/hwhittenwrites/status/1342516613782904833 …
That he himself was just one of a whole cohort of Midwestern boys who came to New York to try to pretend to be something they weren't, and he's leaving now because the whole sordid business with Gatsby soured him on the pretense

He points out that *everyone* in the story -- Tom, Daisy, Jordan, himself and Gatsby -- is a transplant who came to NY to try to become something different from who they originally were, to varying degrees So *everyone* is, in a sense, a human hiding behind a puppet

But yeah, if you have to have one human main character then it should be Tom, and if you're allowed to have two it should be Tom and Daisy The whole idea is Nick, Jordan and Gatsby represent nouveau riche West Egg and Tom and Daisy live in the old-money East Egg
