If this is actually the policy then my response is going to be to insta-block any minor who @'s me In fact frankly that sounds like a better general policy to begin withhttps://twitter.com/tempestis/status/1342987334187249664 …

Like, just to reiterate, what happened in this situation is someone called for a public crusade to deplatform somebody because they wildly misinterpreted something they wrote, in a very obvious way And then it went viral among their shitty friends and turned into a dogpile

You don't get to play the "I'm just a kid, you can't judge me for doing this" card for that shit If you're old enough to do it then you're old enough to be judged for it and face consequences for it If you're not, then you shouldn't be allowed on Twitter

If your reaction to facing a backlash over something like this is to say "Okay but I'm a kid and my judgment is bad so don't yell at me", that's only acceptable if the very next sentence is "And that's why I'm privating my account so this doesn't happen again"

You don't get to have BOTH You don't get the freedom to start shit online and get all the credit if it turns out well and you end up a hero, but remain insulated from all the consequences if it turns out you were attacking an innocent person and you were the asshole
