I have the exact same complaint about the episode of Star Trek TNG where Crusher's Trill boyfriend possesses Riker and then she has sex with him in Riker's body and no one even questions the ethics of doing so

Actually let's double back here If Steve stays alive due to Diana's wish, the random other dude's soul will remain suppressed for the rest of his life and he will, essentially, be dead Isn't this actually a more ethically pressing problem with the wish than losing her powers

Isn't making it about losing her powers kind of a very self-involved version of the whole "wishes have a price" thing Does the random host have no loved ones who'd be upset to learn his body and life have been stolen

i think this is another case of WW84's thematic confusion leaking in to the narrative they made steve a bodyjacker to emphasize the "wishes are fake" theme, but then *every other wish* doesn't work like this at all, it's just a thread that goes nowhere

They were clearly setting up for The Flash to save him in the first movie.

Imagine if after the wish is undone and Steve's soul departs along with the glamour that made Diana see him as Steve it turns out she's spent this whole time dating you
