Like if you just thoughtlessly decide "Women good men bad" is enough of an ethos to base your life around then it's going to be very easy for the men in charge of your society to exploit that to attack the men who lack the protection of respectability and power

This isn't, like, an obscure argument The automatic kneejerk defense of Jim Crow laws in the south was "protecting white women" They killed Emmett Till to "protect women"

I feel like a lot of times these arguments suffer from the whole "fish don't know what water is" thing, the thing where people can't hear themselves talk "Why does 'intersectionality' call on cishet white women, specifically, to check their privilege and no one else?"

"Why does no one ever look at marginalized men and ask them to consider themselves privileged despite being poor or queer or Black or disabled" Uh... You just did, right now People say it all the time, and then in the same breath ask why "no one" is saying it

Literally OP’s a Terf in a hat too tho, like a category-defining example of “ma’am these are just terf ideas of gender with ‘cis’ shoehorned in occasionally”, it makes her popularity/ubiquity/flying under the radar genuinely disturbing tbhhttps://twitter.com/chrysopoetics/status/1342657103391981571?s=21 …
