ok the major problem with poetry is that you're moody enough to want to write a poem like once a year but to be competent you have to be writing them always

This gets twisted *constantly*, like people think "method acting" means demanding they turn the AC all the way down onstage so you can be really shivering and freezing, when it's supposed to mean you can "feel cold" and shiver even when it's 100 degrees under the lights

I guess the confusion comes from how the most edgelord interpretation of "method acting exercises" is the equivalent of sitting outdoors in the cold for a long time at home so you can really *remember* how it feels to be cold as "preparation"

Anyway that's why taking acting classes is "like therapy" for some people Like learning how to "cry on command" is learning the trick of "accessing charged memories" from having spent a lot of time analyzing your own psyche Can't speak to how therapeutic it actually is though
