You're also pretty far to the west of your physical time zone The combination of these two factors is why AZ doesn't observe DST -- there was an AZ state senator who owned a chain of drive-in movie theaters and DST would've made it not get dark in summer until like 9 pm

AZ is already very hot and having to use AC during the winter is a bigger concern for energy savings by far than lighting, DST to "save money on lights" in the summer would just be perverse

Honestly with LED lighting this argument for DST is already generally obsolete
