Wow they really really let Ali Larter destroy this show huh Leonard Roberts gets unceremoniously killed off by one stray bullet but Ali Larter's character keeps getting resurrected with new powers by having a spare clone of her stashed somewhere somehowhttps://twitter.com/rgay/status/1339306466675605504 …

I still like the Heroes gimmick of having a bunch of protagonists who each just kinda have their own writer doing their own thing in a different genre occasionally overlapping, on paper (Sense8 would later make this work, kinda) but my actual memories of the show are 90% groaning

at infuriating hacky BS and 10% thinking of that one super weird and uncomfortable scene with Peter in the latex polo shirt before remembering that was actually Milo Ventimiglia's OTHER role, in Gamer, a movie that... certainly exists and refuses to be purged from my memories.

He’s sometimes really good at writing the script for an episode of television, which is not the same thing but which some development execs constantly mistake for it

The whole reason I gave up on HEROES was because they kept twisting themselves up in knots to keep certain cast members in the show long after their characters had outlived their story purpose. So exasperating.

I rewatched this recently and was taken aback way how racist the show itself was so this is really not surprising

I'm not sure I even made it through all of S2. It started out with such potential. Gah. I'm mad about it all over again.

I would never have remembered the character if not for this, but I’m sure Larter’s issues played a role in that. You’re right that she’s no great shakes. Would it have been his “big break”? I have no idea what anyone on that show is doing besides Quinto and Grunberg.

I see Oka and Ventimiglia are on long-running, popular network shows I would never watch. Panetierre did that too. Perhaps he could have had that.
