Tbh, Elle Bishop had a much more interesting storyline (and backstory) than any of the characters that Larter played. Micah became vital in S3 and it could’ve stayed that way, but having a character like Elle would have set the show up for a lot of potential storylines and

- the whole Elle & Sylar bit could have made more sense. Elle manipulating Peter (and later being his influence for The Butterfly Effect) could have made Nathan’s shooting flow better. PLUS Elle had a direct link to Claire thanks to Noah. Niki was sort of just...there.
