So a minor aside from me, and I really don’t understand it: Why is everyone trying to get Uber to be a better ethical employer when their stated aim is to fire all the humans and replace them with robots.

ADA compliance shouldn't be seen as a "wedge issue" to address other concerns, it is a moral priority in its own right But it absolutely is a very powerful such wedge issue More visibility of these violations via viral tweets and videos etc is very very good

Ok,you two are talking about two different things. First,all workers should be unionized and unions should ensure to police their members. So you get better results for both customers and employees. So union won't save you for leaving customer on the curb. Second, Uber is crap.
