And your genius avatar to support that cause is the one driver fired for dropping a person on the side of the road in a wheelchair. You have... strange strategic priorities

There are 100s of people sexually assaulted each year by Uber drivers but because you didn’t see their viral tweet I guess that doesn’t matter.

Their are criminal charges that can be brought to bear. Why are we making a union/company liable for justice now?

Yes the police who famously take sexual assault charges seriously. Good plan.

Once again, you’re arguing as if anyone in this thread is stanning sexual assault. But those incidents have nothing to do with the person being discussed. Yes it sucks that Twitter is a better avenue for justice than official channels, but I’ll take justice where I can get it

Well that’s a bad way to dole out justice and seems to only benefit you agree with the justice being done personally. My larger point here is that Uber has no economic incentive to make sure their drivers follow guidelines or fire them for not 1/2

Just like they don’t have one to pay a living wage. These are the same issue. So if you really want to change discrimination for the disabled in this industry, a union is the best way to get that done. But I don’t think you really care you just like to be mad

Unions formed today will be entirely infested with power seeking corrupt arseholes, because if you give means to power, the most corrupt thugs gravitate to it. Your ideal union **MAY** do a thing, but it will never be allowed to exist, by its own putative leaders.

Unions. Famously known for making it EASIER to take punitive action against their members. And I say this as generally a pro-union person.

Uber has no power to be punitive to their workforce period. The only reason they guy got fired is because the tweet went viral. Never would have happened otherwise

What do you mean they have no power They have tons of power, they can "fire" you by clicking a button and deactivating your account This is fucking bizarre

Who the hell argues for unionization based on the idea that management *isn't powerful enough*, it's totally backwards
