Between this year's The Last of Us 2 & Cyberpunk 2077, I would like cis people who are nominally accepting to critically interrogate the presumed correlation they have inherited between trans visibility and the violent collapse of civilization. It is centuries-old propaganda.

I'm not getting into this except to encourage other queer people not to speak for all queer people because I'm getting pretty tired of being told I'm a freak in my own community Frankly I'd be as scared of some of the cliques on here in a post-apocalypse as of transphobes

I liked The Last of Us 2, to be clear. (And I think Cyberpunk is pretty good.) I also think there's social conditioning to the trans concept which makes its experience more at-home to a cis majority in apocalyptic and post-apocalyptic scenarios.

Depends on the apocalypse, imo. I felt like Lev's presence pushes back against the popular idea that in a scarcity scenario, all that frivolous transgender nonsense would go away because there's no time or resources for it.
